I normally just glance at these, but Crissy and Marrissa have done something deeper here. We'll take this seriously, and try to share some new findings that add to this framework. Very well done

Great overview! Please consider including b.well Connected Health next time. Listen to John Lock, the Chief Digital Transformation Officer of MedStar Health, describing for Matthew Holt why they selected b.well as their digital front door/transformation platform: https://thehealthcareblog.com/blog/2022/02/28/demo-medstar-healths-digital-front-door-featuring-b-well-connected-health/

This is honestly an amazing piece of writing. Impactful & deep. I would love to chat with either one of you about Nabla. We basically provide communication health stack (through SDKs and APIs) to power patient experience, all of this augmented through ML algorithms. Feel free to reach out! margauxb@nabla.com

Great piece - well researched, thoughtful and comprehensive...except...I may have missed it but didn't see reference to patient payments/financing. I thought this might be embedded in practice management, or revenue cycle, but didn't see it. I think the framework is incomplete without the healthcare payments ecosystem (and stack required for that).

Where do you think electronic prior auth fits? Also, what about UM for risk-bearing entities?

Thank you for this incredibly informative article. Yes, most referrals still do require fax although some are managed with the EMR. Please consider mentioning that Digital Blue Solutions is automating this process, including the dreaded fax component. Referral leakage is a real problem, and closing the referral loop with end to end automation can be a real game changer for both primary care and specialty providers. https://digitalblue.io/referral-automation/

Nice article. Does seem to be missing the potential fuel of a Healthtech API economy still emerging...FHIR. Almost any 'digital health' player with an ambitious analytics roadmap needs to do a make vs buy on backend and API approach. The EMR/EHR space is probably best explained by provider segment...Hospital vs Primary Care vs Specialty vs LTPAC. Also...a global look at the role of payer models/data privacy and nationalized vs private vs mixed paradigms...can help all of us think clearly in terms of Geographic focus.

Thank you for the investment you made in putting this together. I think that one of the exciting developments within health tech is that many of us (I'm https://www.healthhive.org/) are not only looking at our solutions, but we're assessing how we can work as a community integrating the needs and workflow of the individual, clinical, care teams, family and payors. The future success of the industry will come from engaging with partners and the broader community. In some instances we'll compete, at other times we'll cooperate. But in the end, this will grow and benefit the entire community.
